报告题目：Development of Sulfide and Chalcogenide Catalytic Materials for Anion Exchange Membrane (AEM) Water Electrolysis

摘要：The scalable production of green hydrogen through anion exchange membrane (AEM) water electrolysis depends on low-cost, earth-abundant electrocatalysts that can drive both the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) and the oxygen evolution reaction (OER) efficiently and durably in alkaline media. Sulfide and chalcogenide (selenide) based materials are promising alternatives to noble-metal catalysts because of their tunable electronic structures, abundant active sites, and strong synergy, coupled with secondary phases. This work presents the development of chalcogenide heterostructure catalysts, using interface engineering as the central strategy to overcome the sluggish kinetics of water splitting.

三、报告人简介

Iqbal 博士是巴基斯坦伊斯兰巴哈瓦尔布尔大学物理学院副教授，担任半导体及纳米技术研究室主任，主要研究方向为材料科学与纳米技术，专注于纳米材料及其杂化纳米结构的合成，以及这些材料在绿色新能源材料相关的光、电化学合成，超级电容器储能以及环境领域的应用。已发表 140 余篇学术论文，论文总引用次数逾 5800 次，H因子 48，i10指数104。已指导博士研究生6名、硕士.研究生52名。
